Cricket betting at betwin — place bets at the best odds from BPL to the T20 World Cup
betwin offers multiple markets, live in-play options and easy payment methods for betting on Bangladesh's most popular sport. Bet across all three formats — T20, ODI and Test.
T20, ODI and Test — how betting differs across the three formats
Cricket is the only sport played in three distinct formats — and the betting experience is different in each one.
T20 matches move fast. With the game finishing in just a few hours, bettors can stay active from start to finish. A big hit in one over or a quick wicket can shift odds immediately. Tournaments like BPL and IPL are the most popular among Bangladeshi bettors.
ODI matches play out over 50 overs, giving more room for the pace and situation of the game to change. ICC tournaments, bilateral series and World Cup matches offer large ODI betting markets.
Test cricket is a five-day game of patience. A draw is a real possibility here, so "match draw" is included as a separate betting option. The pitch conditions, surface behaviour and weather make Test betting more layered.
Bangladesh Tigers matches are particularly popular on betwin, especially during the T20 World Cup and the BPL season.
Beyond cricket — betting on football and other sports
betwin is not limited to cricket. You can bet on a range of sports including football, tennis, basketball and kabaddi. That said, betting on other sports works a little differently from cricket.
Football betting
Because a draw is possible in football, markets have three outcomes — team A wins, team B wins, or draw. This three-way market is fundamentally different from the two-way market in T20 cricket. You can bet on the Premier League, La Liga and AFC tournaments. Markets like Asian handicap and number of goals are also popular.
Other sports
In tennis, you can bet on individual sets and games, which keeps live betting very active. Point spread betting is more common in basketball and volleyball. Kabaddi is gradually finding its place in the betting market in Bangladesh too. Each sport has its own rules and market structure, so the same approach you use for cricket will not necessarily work elsewhere.
Cricket's head-to-head format — with no draw possible in T20 or ODI — keeps market calculations straightforward. In Test matches, the addition of a draw changes how odds are distributed. Before you start betting on betwin, log in at the betwin Login page.
7 popular betting markets in cricket
Each market offers a different kind of betting experience. Here is a brief look at some of the markets available on betwin.
Match winner
The most common market — who will win the match? In T20 and ODI, only two outcomes are possible. Say it is team A vs team B and you pick team B.
Most popularToss winner
Bet on which team will win the toss before the match begins. Because the result is equally likely for either side, odds are usually close.
Quick resultTop batter
Who will score the most runs in a team's innings? Each player has separate odds. The batter who scores more often has lower odds.
Skills-basedTotal runs over/under
Will the combined runs of both teams go above or below a set number? This market lets you bet without backing either team directly.
Score-basedMulti bet
Combine multiple matches or markets into a single bet. If all selections are correct, the total return multiplies — but one wrong selection loses the entire bet. Find out more about multi bets on the betwin Bet page.
High returnTop bowler
Who will take the most wickets in an innings? Spinner or pacer — the choice shifts depending on the pitch and conditions.
Pitch analysisOver-by-over run market
Bet on how many runs will be scored in a specific over — for example, total runs in the powerplay overs. This market is especially active during live betting and moves with the pace of the match.
How to read decimal, fractional and American odds
betwin and other sports betting platforms display odds in three formats. The two examples below show how the same price is written in each format.
Example 1 — team A wins, stake ৳500
| Format | Odds | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 2.25 | You get back 2.25 times your stake |
| Fractional | 5/4 | Stake ৳4, profit ৳5 |
| American | +125 | Plus means underdog — win ৳100 for every ৳100 staked, profit ৳125 |
If team A wins on a ৳500 bet, total return is ৳1,125 (৳625 profit + original ৳500 stake). If they lose, ৳500 is gone.
Example 2 — team B wins (favourite), stake ৳500
| Format | Odds | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 1.50 | You get back 1.5 times your stake |
| Fractional | 1/2 | Stake ৳2, profit ৳1 |
| American | -200 | Minus means favourite — you need to stake ৳200 to win ৳100 |
If team B wins on a ৳500 bet, total return is ৳750 (৳250 profit). Favourites carry less risk but lower returns.
In American odds, plus (+) means underdog and minus (−) means favourite. Decimal format is the most widely used in Bangladesh because it is easy to understand.
A quick way to remember odds
- Decimal odds × stake = total return
- Decimal odds never go below 1.00 — odds of 1.01 mean a near-certain favourite
- In fractional odds, the first number is the profit and the second is the stake
- In American odds, the ± sign tells you straight away which side is the favourite
Odds move when wickets fall — live in-play betting
You can still place bets on betwin after a match has started. This is called in-play or live betting. In cricket, the situation changes after every ball, so odds update in real time.
Say team A makes a strong start in a T20 — 50 runs in the powerplay with no wickets lost. At that point, the odds on team A winning will shorten and the odds on team B will lengthen. Betting on team B now would give a higher return.
Or suppose five wickets fall quickly in the second innings — odds on run rate, top bowler and match winner will all shift immediately. In in-play betting, the ability to make quick decisions is what matters most.
The betwin App lets you follow live scores and odds together on mobile, so you can follow every moment of the match without being at the ground.
Practical tips for cricket betting
Betting is a form of entertainment — not a source of income. The tips below will help you approach it in a more informed and responsible way.
Set a budget
Decide how much you are willing to spend before each session and stick to that limit. Do not place extra bets to recover losses.
Understand the format before picking a market
In T20, the toss and powerplay matter a great deal. In ODI, the middle overs and partnerships have an impact. For Test matches, read the pitch and weather.
Be careful with multi bets
Multi bets offer higher returns but higher risk too. Three selections at odds of 1.40, 1.60 and 1.90 combine to around 4.26 — meaning a ৳100 stake could return ৳426, but one wrong selection and the full ৳100 is lost.
Do not let emotion drive live betting decisions
Odds shift quickly mid-match. Before acting fast, consider the overall state of the game.
Play responsibly
Betting is for enjoyment — it is not a solution to problems. Read betwin's responsible gaming guidelines for more. 21+
